Airsoft Gas, Batteries

Airsoft guns, depending on the type, use either gas or batteries as their power source. Gas-powered guns (mainly pistols and some rifles) use green gas, CO₂, or propane to propel BBs. Green gas is the most common and easiest to use, while CO₂ provides higher pressure and better cold-weather performance. Gas guns often have blowback action, giving a realistic recoil and feel, but their performance can drop in low temperatures or after rapid firing due to cooldown. Battery-powered guns (AEGs) use rechargeable batteries like NiMH or LiPo to run internal gearboxes. LiPo batteries are the most popular due to their compact size, fast trigger response, and high output. AEGs are reliable, consistent, and easy to upgrade, making them ideal for most players. Choosing between gas or battery power depends on your playstyle: gas for realism and close-range action, battery for consistency and full-auto fire.
